Contemplation is an inward exploration—a deliberate turning of attention away from the external world closer to the depths of one’s awareness and spiritual growth. Unlike the frantic pace of everyday existence, contemplation invites us to slow down, pause, and be attuned to the diffused rhythms of our inner self.
Within contemplation, the mental witness emerges as a silent observer—an unbiased observer who bears witness to the ebb and flow of mind, emotions, and sensations without judgement or attachment. This witness, rooted in a kingdom of pure focus, serves as a beacon of mild amidst the weariness of the mind, guiding us toward more clarity and alert attention.
Contemplation and the mental witness offer a pathway to the emergence of presence and spiritual growth leading to transformation and inner peace. In the mental witness, we discover the underlying presence that exists beyond the ego and remains constant. As our inner work progresses, we awaken within ourselves to a higher level of awareness, transcending the ordinary and embracing our true essence. By practising mindfulness, we unlock the door to a more profound experience of self-attention and authenticity.
